 May  2017

At Taos Alive we've just finished working with Rocky Mountain Youth Corps to complete Taos Community Surveys.  The surveys help to inform our decisions for the following year's  strategies. Community Surveys are important because they help to give us an honest perspective of our community and how we can be effective in meeting those concerns. Thank you for participating.

As Spring is fast approaching, we are meeting the end of the school year swiftly.  Taos Alive's Alcohol Policy Workgroup and Media Workgroup have combined forces to work with  Taos High School's Media Class on a creative project exposing the Truth about Alcohol.   "The Truth Tour" will be featured at Teen Pecha Kucha: The Next Generation  May 11th .

Miles Bonny, our RxDrug Prevention Specialist, has just returned from the National Rx Abuse Conference and has confirmed that our strategies align with the prevention tactics advised at the Conference.  As Fentanyl abuse continues, Taos Alive will continue to educate the public about illicit fentanyl in street pills as a means of illegal pain management which easily can lead to death since they are an un-managed form of self medication.

#LITLifeInTaos, an events hub for our youth  is up and running. We are populating it with more youth events content. Please send information to Taos Alive about your Teen Event  so we can include it on LITLifeInTaos!
