March 2017 Newsletter

 March 2017

As we near Spring, the staff of Taos Alive is watching the seeds we planted for Youth Collaborations come into fruition.  Our Youth focused collaborations are blossoming in our different areas of expertise: OurAlcohol Policy Workgroup is currently working with The Learning Lab of Rocky Mountain Youth Corps, teaching students about Media Literacy and deciphering Alcohol Advertisements in the town of Taos. Taos Alive's Media Workgroup is collaborating with the Taos High School Media Class to help them create Media exposing the Truth about Alcohol. The students will present their final Media Campaign projects to family, friends, and community on  "The Truth Tour". Finally, our RxDrug Safety Workgroup is working with Taos High's Community Service Leadership Class to bring more awareness to their peers surrounding Substance Abuse and Mental Health.

#LITLifeInTaos, an events hub for our younger community is up and running. We are populating it with more youth events content. Please send information to Taos Alive about your Teen Event  so we can include it on LITLifeInTaos!
