JANUARY 2017

A COMMUNITY UNITING TO CREATE A SAFE,
SECURE, AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE FREE LIFE FOR TAOS YOUTH

Happy New Year!

Taos Alive is excited for the year ahead !!

At our recent STRATEGIC PLANNING MEETING We reviewed some of our year's successes to gauge what is working in our Action Plan and what needs adjustments. We collaborated with different stakeholders in our community to create a strong Action Plan for our next fiscal year. An exciting take away is that as we continue our work to educate Taos on Substance Abuse Preventions, we will also include education on  Holistic Health and  Alternative Medicine.

To help emphasize a healthy youth culture, we are pleased to roll out a YOUTH ACTIVITIES NEWSLETTER in the coming year for our younger Taos Community Members to find Events, Classes, Activities, and Youth Groups. A listing of events to find their voice, passions, and interests. If you are a community leader, teacher, or would like to offer an activity for the youth EMAIL TAOS ALIVE to be included on the newsletter.

We are also excited about our recent collaboration with KCEI 90.1 Radio: Media for Youth, Arts, and Activism in Northern New Mexico & Southern Colorado. KCEI is airing brief "15 Minute Highlights on Taos Alive"  interviewing different Coalition Members. This gives listeners a broad perspective of how Taos Alive works together as a Community to help Prevent Youth Substance Abuse.

Take Action! Here's to a strong year ahead!!
